Children are important at Westover. Christ says in Matthew 19:14 "Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." On Sunday mornings children have an opportunity before the worship service to participate in a bible study geared just for them from 9:30am-11am and then they have more fun learning the bible during the service from 11:15am-12:15pm. They play games, participate in contests to learn bible verses, hear and act out fun stories from the bible and watch videos to reinforce what they are learning. We also have events geared for children to fellowship and learn in a safe setting. Our big events during the year are the Easter Egg Hunt in the spring, Vacation Bible Camp in the Summer and the Fall Festival in the fall. They also have the opportunity to do activities together like bowling, putt putting, swimming and pizza lunches.
If you have young children we welcome them as well. On Sunday mornings there is nursery care in a loving environment and young children will accompany us on some of the activities.

Sunday February 12 Boy Scout Sunday
On Sunday February 12 the boy scouts will lead in worship. Following worship will be a special lunch hosted by the boy scouts in Hardison Hall.
Sunday February 19 Baby Shower for Lysa Clements
On Sunday February 19 we will celebrate with Lysa, Julia and Hailey as they welcome Lysa's little boy into their lives. After worship we will have a baby shower for Lysa. Her son is due in April. Lunch will be provided.
Saturday March 3 11:30-2:30 Homeless Lunch
Westover will serve lunch to the homeless on Saturday March 3. We will bring a meal and serve it to residents at the Bailey's Crossroads Commuity Shelter. We will meet at the Westover parking lot at 11:00am and return their by 1:00pm. Please let Pastor Nikki know if you would like to help.
