Welcome to Westover Baptist Church

Whether you are a new or established Christian, or just beginning to explore the faith, our warm and welcoming church is ready to support you in your spiritual growth.

We invite you to not only visit our website, but to experience the love of God directly through the Westover Baptist Church family. Join us for coffee and fellowship at 9:00am on Sunday morning. Share in an enriching small-group Bible Study at 10:00. Worship with joy and reverence as you hear God's Word through our traditional worship service at 11:00. You may also enjoy a weekday study, one of our special events, or a private meeting with a deacon or our pastor. You are always welcome, and we encourage you to let us know how we might best meet your needs.

If you have not already done so, we also encourage you to open your heart and mind to Jesus. Dedicating your life to God is the most important thing you will ever do, the easiest, and the most rewarding. We want you to be able to do so with enthusiasm, sincerity, faith and trust. If you have questions or need guidance, please feel free to contact a deacon or contact our pastor. Our church ministries are here to support you in your personal relationship with God. We will happily provide any information you may need as you make this important decision for yourself.

HIGH SCHOOL BIBLE STUDY BEGINS JULY 12TH Due to growth in our youth department, middle and high school Bible Studies will meet separately beginning July 12th. Middle school classes will continue to meet with Susan Williams; Nikki Tota will lead the high school class until a teacher is found.

FOURTH OF JULY COMMUNITY COOKOUT Please join us in the lower courtyard/Bike Room immediately following the 11:00AM Sunday Morning Worship Service for Christian fellowship, food, and fun. We will be providing a lunch of grilled hot dogs and hamburgers to any one who would like to join us. Passers-by will be invited to share in the festivities.

FUN IN THE SUN FOR YOUTH AND CHILDREN Youth and children are invited to go to Upton Hill for a morning in the sun at the pool. Meet at the church at 10:45am with your permission form, lunch, towel sunscreen, and swim suit. We will return to the church by 2:15pm. WOMEN OF FAITH CONFERENCE, July 31st - August 1st Attention all ladies! The National Women of Faith is coming to Washington, DC, from July 31 - August 1, at the Verizon Center. Make plans now to attend. The theme for this year is A Grand New Day. This exciting 2-day event is a mix of laughter, music, and stories that will touch your heart. Bring your friends, family, co-workers, neighbors—any woman you know who needs a new perspective . . . a new enthusiasm . . . A Grand New Day. “The Lord's love never ends; his mercies never stop. Mullen, Sandi Patty, Lisa Whelchel (from TV's "The Facts of Life"), Sheila Walsh, Patsy Clairmont, Marilyn Meberg, Luci Swindoll, and more! Over the course of the two-day event you'll hear fabulous music, watch stirring drama, listen to hilarious and heart-tugging stories, and join thousands of women in worship. JOIN US FOR ADULT BIBLE STUDY Join us for Adult Bible Study at Westover Baptist Church starting each Sunday morning at 9:30 AM. Our Sunday morning begins with an adult assembly in Room 220 where Larry Stump leads the group in singing hymns, announcements, and a devotion. At 10:00 PM, adults are dismissed to their individual Sunday Morning Classes. One combined class of men and women which meets in Room 220 is currently studying lessons from the Books of Isaiah and Micah. This Bible study is entitled, "Live for God Today," and deals with spiritual health, spiritual certainties, and the spiritual path that we choose. Our ladies class which meets in Room 211 is currently studying Beth Moore's devotion book entitled, "He Speaks to Me." This devotion is about the preparation necessary so that one can hear God speaking in your life.

REFRESH YOUR SPIRIT MIDWEEK All are welcome to attend our Prayer Service and Bible Study, held every Wednesday at 2:00pm.
