Fall serves as a reminder to us that everything in life has its time. The gathering of crops reminds us that there is a time for growing and harvesting. Solomon in the Bible writes that “For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven” (Ecclesiastes 3:1). Because our time is limited, we need to be wholly devoted to Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Jesus shares about his life and about our lives as well…As long as it is day, we must do the work of him who sent me. Night is coming, when no one can work. (John 9:4). Time is precious. This sermon series, “It’s About Time,” speaks about serving God.
OCTOBER 9 ITS TIME TO FEED THE HUNGRY I JOHN 3:11-22
October is World Hunger Month. In this world, statistics show that one out of every seven goes to bed hungry each night. America is not exempt. With an unemployment rate of nearly ten percent, there are now many people in America who through no fault of their own go hungry. What are we suppose to do? Come and hear what the Apostle John has to say about helping those in need.
OCTOBER 16 ITS TIME TO WORK FOR GOD MATTHEW 9:35-38
After Jesus was resurrected, he spent some days on earth with his disciples. As his departure approached, he took them to a mountain where he would ascend into heaven. OCTOBER 30 ITS TIME TO TRUST GOD II CORINTHIANS 9:6-15
The Apostle Paul started many churches. What he discovered was that sharing was difficult not only for children but adults as well. One of his challenges was to teach the church about our need to share. Paul paints a picture that God will bless and multiply what we give. God is also shown to give back to us when we give to him. And people will give thanks to God for us and our generosity. Do you trust God and His Word? Come and listen as Paul explains the principle of sowing and reaping. This Sunday is Stewardship Sunday when church members are encouraged to turn in their 2012 Pledge Cards.

The Boy Scouts have for their motto, “Be Prepared.” They hold workshops to learn how to be prepared to serve others. They also educate themselves to be prepared in handling emergencies and how to survive in the great outdoors. Preparation is not only important for the Boy Scouts but Christians as well. Jesus himself said that we should spend time watching and preparing for Him to come back to earth. Are you ready to meet Jesus, face to face? Join us as Jesus speaks about His Second Coming. NOVEMBER 13 A SIGN OF THE TIMES MATTHEW 24:3-14
Jesus states that the times in which we live will be difficult times. There will be wars and rumors of wars. Christians will be persecuted for their beliefs and false beliefs will be accepted and praised. We are told to hang on to our faith, for in the end, like a life preserver, it will save us. Come and have your faith strengthened in Christ. This service will include a recognition of our veterans for their faithful service to God and Country.
NOVEMBER 20 ITS TIME TO THANK GOD PSALM 100
Thanksgiving week is upon us. Many families will gather together on Thanksgiving day to carve the turkey and thank God for their bounty. But we need to be thankful not only at Thanksgiving but throughout the year. Thanksgiving is a way of life. We are to praise God in good times and difficult times. The Bible states that whenever we enter God’s presence we should come with thanksgiving and praise on our lips. Gratitude should always be our attitude. Come join us as we examine Psalm 100, A Psalm of Thanks.

NOVEMBER 27 A LIFE OF HOPE ISAIAH 40:1-11
In ancient times, when a king was known to be coming, the people would spend countless days in preparation. Homes would be decorated and even the road into town would be leveled out. As the king approached, people would go up on mountaintops so that they could be heard singing and shouting for joy! King Jesus has come and will come again. Join us as we celebrate the First Sunday of Advent and usher in the Christmas Season with the singing of carols and the displaying of festive lights.
DECEMBER 4 A LIFE OF PEACE I THESSALONIANS 5: 12-28
